At the last Full Council meeting of Pocklington Town Council it was resolved to seek the approval of the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities & Local Government to apply for a Public Works Board Loan of £43,000.00 over the borrowing term of 10 years for the refurbishment of the toilets at the Arts Centre. The annual loan repayments will come to around £4,400.

It is also intended to increase the council tax precept for the purpose of the loan repayments by 1.4% which is the equivalent of an additional £4,385 a year. This will be subject to a precept increase consultation.  A band D property would see a rise of £1.20 a year from £86.60 to £87.80.

The Council wishes for the electorate to know of our plans.  The toilets at the Arts Centre are 20 years old and therefore require refurbishing.  If anyone has any comments on this project please email them to the Town Clerk email before 5 pm on Wednesday 9th September 2020.
