At a council meeting on 7th January 2015, the Council decided to increase it’s precept for the next financial year which will see an average band D household in Pocklington paying £71.66, instead of £70.35 they paid for the year 2014-15, an increase of £1.31 or 1.86%.

The increase from the Council is a result of a reduction in council tax funding from East Riding Council.

The Town Council’s projects include building a skatepark on West Green, which will cost £63,000 (£40,000 to be funded by WREN) and a new workshop at the allotments on The Mile at a cost of £28,000.
