Work progresses well at the Old Courthouse

court 1

The work to re-furbish the Old Courthouse in George Street Pocklington is progressing well.  You may recall the Town Council are swopping their Railway Street site for the Old Courthouse which has been unused since the last court hearing in 2001.  The East Riding of Yorkshire authority is to create a larger library and bring the customer service provision from Burnby Hall on the Railway Street site.  The Old Courthouse is presently being altered to cater for disabled with a ramp being constructed and disabled toilets being fitted. Builder Eric Bradley from Etton is the main contractor.  It is hoped the work will be complete by the end of April.

Here Cllr. June Malcolm is speaking to the site manager Paul about the ongoing work.
