How To Get Here

Pocklington is situated 12 miles east of York and 20 miles west of Hull. It is easily accessible from the A1079 linking York and Hull. If coming from further afield, the closest train station, airport and Ferry terminal are all within a one hour journey by car.

Traveling by Train

If you are wanting to visit Pocklington, a great option is to travel by train to York Train Station. This has excellent travel links to the bus route to Pocklington. Busses are available opposite the main entrance to York Station and are available at 17 minutes past the hour during the day on a weekday. The travel time from the York Train Station bus stop and Pocklington is approximately 50 minutes.

York > Pocklington

By Bus – X46

For people traveling from York to Pocklington there is a regular bus service every 30 minutes that stops in the center of Pocklington. The X46 can be caught from outside York train station if you are arriving by train. Alternatively, if you are catching the bus from York City center, the X46 can be caught at Merchantgate (see map below for directions to Merchantage).
