Pocklington Welcomes Yorkshire in Bloom judges
Today sees the summer judging of the small town section of the Yorkshire in Bloom competition. The weather has improved dramatically in the last few days making the floral displays improve beyond recognition. It is hard to recall that the Memoral Gardens were under three feet of water only a fortnight ago!
Michael and Lorraine Irvine from Stokesley return to the town for the summer judging and will be taken around the town by 'In Bloom' members. The flower bed in All Saints Churchyard depicting the 100th anniversary of scouting has just been finished and the beds outside the Post Office commemorate William Wilberforce and the abolition of slavery.
