Pocklington Horticultural Society Dinner
On Friday 11th January Pocklington Horticultural Society held their annual dinner at the Masonic Hall in Pocklington. Everyone enjoyed the meal provided by Country Caterers from Driffield. Afterwards Denis Moor from Pocklington gave an interesting talk on his diving experiences in the area and produced a collection of clay pipes and bottles he had found during his dives.
The Horticultural Society has a hut on the allotment site which is open each Saturday and Sunday morning from where keenly priced compost and gardening materials can be bought. Membership is only £1 per year.
Doug Stewart the Gardening expert from Bishop Burton College & Radio Humberside presenter is the guest speaker on Friday 14th March at the Bowls Club on Burnby Lane. Members and non-members are most welcome.
