The First Floor of Oak House is explained
Pocklington Town Council moved their offices and Town Meeting Room to The Old Courthouse, 37 George Street, Pocklington in July 2006.  The premises were opened  to the public on Saturday 9th September 2006 when over 100 people attended.  There were displays on our web-site, the work required on the first floor of Oak House to bring it back into use, the Croft playpark plans and the Christmas Festive lights.  Ideas were also sought on the development of West Green as a recreational area. The 1844 and 1855 maps of Pocklington were on display as were the burial board records.  Most people seemed to be impressed with the new facilities and commented on the beautiful courtroom which is now the Town Meeting Room.
