On Thursday 16th February 2006 The Town Mayor, Councillor Jo Green, presented the unit manager of Woldhaven Residential Care Home, Barbara Kavanagh, with a cheque being the proceeds of her charity fund. The donation comprised sponsorship money from a charity cycle ride Cllr Green had completed from the west coast to the east during summer and a collection from the 'Carols with the Mayor' event. Mrs Kavanagh thanked the Mayor for her support and said the money would be used to organise trips out for the residents.
