The 'Terror Twins' receive their certificate
At the full council meeting held on Wednesday 10th September 2008 the Town Mayor, Councillor Jeff Shepherd received a cheque for £158.91 from the 'Fizzy Issies' Lifestyle group who held a coffee morning as part of their fund-raising for Pocklington in Bloom. Cllr Shepherd said this was a tremendous result which will enable more spring bulbs to be bought for the town's Memorial Garden. He presented the group with a certificate marking their achievement. The group 'Fruitie Tuttie' who have looked after the Croft playpark throughout summer were also presented with a certificate for their efforts. The 'Terror Twins' who trimmed the hedge alongside the Junior School received a certificate from The Mayor at the meeting on 17th September.
