John Sergeant with the Arts Centre Managers
On Thursday 21st June 2007 John Sergeant the retired political correspondent for ITN visited the Pocklington Arts Centre as part of a nationwide tour.  He spoke to a full audience about his experiences recalling several foreign tours when he had accompanied Prime Ministers.  He related several amusing incidents and gave a most informative view on the workings of government.  In the second half he answered questions from the audience which ranged from his view on Alex Samond being appointed Scotland's First Minister to the announcement that Gordon Brown had approached Paddy Ashdown to join his cabinet.  It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
