The Greengrass Recycling Group will commence their kerb-side collections of garden waste on the Sherbuttgate Estate of Pocklington on Monday 18th April 2011.  They would like to extend the areas they collect from and are considering including the Wold Road area of the town.  This depends on volunteers coming forward to assist with this task.  Collections take place every second Monday and take about 2hours.  Anyone interested in lending a hand should contact Richard Wood on 01759 304851 for more details.

The group shredded Christmas trees in early 2010 at their site down Burnby Lane.  They have now sifted the chippings and offer them for sale at £3 a green garden-waste bag.  Anyone interested in the bark chippings can either attend at the Horticultural  hut on the allotments on Saturday or Sundat mornings or contact Richard Wood on 01759 304851.  Delivery can be arranged.
