Work Commences in Pocklington Market Place
The Work Planned for Pocklington
On Monday 1st March 2010 a company called Aquajet started work taking silt and gravel out of four places in the Pocklington Beck. After the floods of 2007 a CCTV examination revealed a build up of sediment which was restricting water flows. Two of these are in the culvert under the town. Gravel is also to be taken out from under London Street bridge and under the house which straddles the beck on Miller Row. The work is expected to take about one month.
