Watson's Map of 1855
You may recall a previous article concerning an 1844 map of Pocklington which has been photographically reproduced and available for sale. This map was also drawn by  William Watson who was brought up in Seaton Ross.  An index book to accompany the map has recently been re-produced and is now available. Pocklington Town Council have recently commissioned the photographic reproduction of the 1855 map of the town which was drawn by William Watson which shows the outline of houses together with the occupants and their occupations. This map is now on sale from either Pocklington Town Council Office at The Old Courthouse, 37 George Street, Pocklington YO42 2DH or The Frost Studio Market Place Pocklington. Both maps are priced at £45 including packing with postage being charged at £4 for delivery in Britain. If you order the two maps together the cost is reduced to £80 for the two with free postage.
