Twinning Agreement between Pocklington and Pays de Racan France renewed

On Saturday 2nd May 2009 a group of Pocklington people attended a reception at the Dindassiere Village Hall in the canton of Neuvy-le-Roi to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the original twinning agreement.

Pocklington Achieves ‘Fairtrade’ Status

In October 2007 Pocklington Town council passed a resolution to go forward to attain Fairtrade status from this decision a small steering group called Pocklington F.L.A.G (Fairtrade and Local produce Action Group) was formed.

Yorkshire in Bloom judges visit Pocklington for the Spring judging

Environment Agency staff walk the beck at Pocklington

On Thursday 15th January 2009 Councillors Martin Cooper, Steve Elliott and Graham Perry accompanied staff from the Environment Agency on a walk of the whole length of Pocklington Beck from Canal Head to the northern town boundary.
