Local news: 60's singers a great success at Mayor's Charity event
Full marks to the Bridlington Classic Pop Singers who presented a fundraising concert for The Mayor of Pocklington's Charity (Yorkshire East Riding Volunteer Accident & Emergency Service) on Friday evening. The Mayor, Councillor David Sykes, welcomed the 25 singers who perform for charities in the area singing 60's and 70's numbers. They were truly amazing and provided continual entertainment throughout the evening. The solo singers were particularly memorable. Generous donations allowed a successful raffle to be held so altogether it is hoped approaching £1,000 will have been raised.
